I'd like to make one last minute encouragement to everyone that possibly can, to attend the Villes race in Nashville this Sat. This is a great chance to get some practice for the National, or just to experience a great track. For some it may be the first time you ride a track other than Burdette, for others it may be one of the few times this year you get to have the excitement of traveling to another track. If you are a new rider, don't worry that you aren't experienced enough, your skill level doesn't matter, you count the same as everyone else, and you will have a great time. I know gas prices are high, so make some calls and carpool as much as you can. You parents will get every dolar back in smiles and thanks when your kids ride this fantastic track. I believe in Burdette BMX and our riders so much, that I know the only thing that can stop us from bringing home the trophy to OUR track, is nobody showing up. Track address is 2901 Bell rd, Nashville Tn, 37217 If you have any concerns or questions please e-mail me or call at 449-7550 Mandy Pfender Can't wait to ride!

We hope to have a really big attendance from Evansville, we get bonas points for having a large amount of riders. Thanks, Angie

I have a question about the Grands its scheduled from the 29th to the 31st do you have to pay for all three days or do you just pay for the 30th and the 31st and if so either way is the cost the same as the rest of the national.

Subject:Battle of the Villes II (Phase 1)!
Oops did I accidentally post this here? Good afternoon all! Many of you may labor under the misconception that the most important race which takes place at Derby City occurs over Labor Day weekend and has for the past 30 years with limited interruption... While it's true that the Grands has a lot to do with how much smack you can talk to your friends and what plate you get to run for the coming year. This all pales in comparison to the ribbing that we will have to take from the Robert Campbell's (Music City BMX) and Angie Almond's (Burdette Park BMX) of the world who are the pretenders to our rightful throne. Last year I jumped on their respective websites, hurled firebrands and otherwise engaged them in a battle of wits in which they were horribly overmatched. After a few days of this verbal repartee it was apparent that it was like Kasparov playing chess with Forrest Gump. (Right now folks in Nashville and Evansville are trying to figure out who is Kasparov...they know Forrest Gump.) The final edification of this battle took place in Nashville when the Ville's Cup was returned to it's rightful place right here in Derby City... We proved conclusively that they couldn't hold our water, either on the track or off. Foolishly, they've asked for a rematch! This year, because they whined incessantly, we have changed the rules to reflect their wishes. It will make no difference. Our riders will still annihilate their petty little tracks with superior skill, knowledge, horsepower, training, mental alacrity, and bravado! Battle of the Villes II Tactical Plan (Phase 1) Destroy Nashville on their own track so they can repeat the stellar performance that they had in Evansville last year by ducking the competition! Anybody who wants to be on the side of Hotdogs, Apple Pie, God, Puppies and Kittens and the American Way we welcome you to team Louisville (Derby City)! Anyone for Osama, Al Qaeda, the Government, Satan et al... you can always declare for Nashville and Evansville! They'll take anyone... http://www.derbycitybmx.org/default.asp?contentID=583 Ed Reinhart Derby City BMX
